Community Health Agenda
|

We have started a series of
health seminars. The last one was on 29th June and the subject
matter was Breast Cancer, Breast reconstruction, gastro enteritis. The next
one will be in six months time. Our aim is to raise awareness of health
issues and our rights within NHS.

Spiritual awareness and help for
the elderly
|
|
Manharbhai Mehta, our Chairman,
and Jaymanbhai Mehta are coordinating this project to provide spiritual
care to our community members in hospitals and hospices.

Who is a Vanik?
We organised a
talk on “Who is a Vanik” on 29 May 2008. The speakers, Dr Harshad Sanghrajka, Dr Vinod Kapashi, Jyotsna Shah and Manhar Mehta gave a history of Vaniks
and its origin.
We identified
84 sub caste of vaniks.
