Organ donations

Vanik Council (UK) has recently been engaged on campaigning for live organ donations; particularly donation of kidney.

We are now moving on to campaigning for organ donations and transplants within the Jain community of North West London and nationally and encouraging our affiliated organisations to engage in spreading the message across our community. We will be adding more information on this subject shortly.

On 9th June 2019, Vanik Council held an important programme at Navnat Centre, Hayes. This event provided some vital information on Living organ donation and organ donation on death. From Spring next year, it will be legal for hospitals to gift organs on death (Deemed Consent), unless the person has opted out.
